Wisconsin Collaborative for Rural GME
Lori Rodefeld serves as the Director of GME Development at the Wisconsin Collaborative for Rural Graduate Medical Education (WCRGME) where she engages with stakeholders statewide to expand rural residency training and support the 25+ rural residency programs in her state. She also serves as the Director of GME Development with the HRSA-funded Rural Residency Planning and Development and Teaching Health Center Planning and Development Technical Assistance Centers. Prior to working in GME development, she spent over 10 years at the SSM Monroe Hospital where she lead efforts to develop three new GME programs, including a the first family medicine residency in Wisconsin in over 20 years. Under her leadership both medical student and advanced practice clinician training opportunities also expanded serving as a model for the state of Wisconsin. She was appointed to the American Association of Colleges of Osteopathic Medicine (AACOM) UME-GME Task Force, and serves as Board Member and Consultant for the Rural Medical Training Collaborative, as Board President of GME Transformation, as a Member of the Wisconsin Council for Medical Education and Workforce (WCMEW) Clinical Training Sites Workgroup, as a Member of the NRHA Government Affairs Committee, and as Board Member of the WiNC GME Consortium.
