Community Health Strategies
Avni Shridharani, MHS is the founder and principal of Community Health Strategies, LLC, a minority woman-owned small business that provides customized consulting services for federally qualified health centers and other mission-oriented organizations.
Over the span of 20+ years, she has demonstrated her leadership and strategic skills having served as the Chief Strategy Officer for MHC Healthcare, a member of Health Resources and Services Administration’s Bureau of Primary Health Care’s senior management team, and as an independent consultant and thinking partner for dozens of health centers, state primary care associations, and health center-controlled networks. Furthermore, she has substantive state and federal health policy development experience that has resulted in the passage of legislation to reimburse certified Community Health Worker services by third party payers in Minnesota and the Affordable Care Act, respectively.
She has received her formal education from the University of Michigan Ann Arbor, Johns Hopkins University Bloomberg School of Public Health, the University of Minnesota Humphrey School of Public Affairs, and Harvard University. Her favorite teachers are her self-made immigrant parents, one of whom never had a chance to finish high school.
