The Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) was passed in 2022 and included provisions that could improve access to resilient, clean energy and impact pricing of drugs for Medicare patients. Join representatives from NACHC’s Environmental Health Team, Regulatory Affairs Team, and community health centers as they discuss both the benefits and complications of the Inflation Reduction Act. Attendees will learn how to become resilient to power outages through solar + battery storage, improve continuity of care, and lower carbon footprint through the IRA’s clean energy tax credits. Attendees will also gain a better understanding of the IRA’s effects on Medicare drug pricing and the 340B program, and tips to best prepare and educate patients about these provisions.
Learning Objectives:
Discuss the benefits of the IRA for resilient energy projects.
Discuss the challenges/impacts of the IRA on drug pricing and its interaction with the 340B program.
Prepare to implement provisions within the IRA at health centers.
