The number of Look-Alike Health Centers has grown to historic highs in the absence of federal New Access Point Funding. Look-Alikes are health centers that don’t receive federal 330-funding but comply with all of HRSA’s Health Center Program Requirements and are vital employers, providers, and partners of choice in the communities they serve.

Join this session to hear how health centers participating in NACHC’s 2024 Look-Alike Leadership Learning Collaborative found ways to innovate even without HRSA 330-funding in one of the following areas:
- Clinical Quality
- Human Resources / Workforce Recruitment and Retention
- Service Line Expansion

Learning Objectives:

  • Provide an overview of the Look-Alike Health Center model and present challenges and opportunities of operating a Look-Alike Health Center.
  • Highlight a series of case studies that demonstrate innovative strategies around clinical quality, financial sustainability, and workforce recruitment and retention, leveraged by Look-Alikes.
  • Describe how Look-Alike operating priniciples can be leveraged by 330-funded health centers and other health centers outside of the HRSA Health Center Program.
