Amaya Alarcon, OMS-III, is a third-year medical student at A.T. Still School of Osteopathic Medicine in Arizona. With a background in genetic cancer research focusing on BRCA1 and BRCA2 genes, Amaya aims to integrate her expertise into a holistic approach to care in Obstetrics and Gynecology. Passionate about public health and women's rights, she is dedicated to serving Latino communities and addressing language and cultural barriers to improve health outcomes. Fluent in both Spanish and English, Amaya plans to work in community health centers, offering comprehensive obstetric and gynecological services. Her vision includes providing education and counseling on prevention, nutrition, exercise, and mental health to underserved populations.
