Sallyann Coleman King, MD, MSc, is a Captain in the U.S. Public Health Service and serves as the Medical Director of the Colorectal Cancer Control Program which works to increase colorectal cancer screening rates among those age 45-75. Dr. Coleman King did her undergraduate training at Emory University in Atlanta, Georgia and her master’s degree in a program jointly taught at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine and the University College London. She completed her medical degree and residency at Emory University School of Medicine and then went on to complete a fellowship in Outcomes Research and one in Clinical Trials. Dr. Coleman King then completed a fellowship in the Epidemic Intelligence Service at the CDC. As the Medical Director of the CRCCP, Dr Coleman King oversees the program and provides technical assistance to award recipients while supporting emergency response needs of the country with the USPHS.
