International Medical Corps
Shira Goldstein; MSC Global Health; Deputy Director of Programs, US & Territories; provides oversight for programs within International Medical Corps’ US&T Country Program implemented across the continental U.S. and its territories. She comes from a diverse background of 20 years as a global health practitioner and emergency response lead across four continents, embedded in global communities developing strategies and implementing services promoting increased access to healthcare. Her experience in management comes from leading teams during acute emergency, guiding country offices focused on long-term multi-sectoral projects, working with a diversity of individuals, and managing grants from a variety of public, institutional, and private donors. She led multiple response teams in complex environments, including during the Ebola outbreak in Liberia, in the Bahamas after Hurricane Dorian, and in Brazil during the COVID-19 pandemic. Domestically, she worked with Tribal Nations in the American Southwest during the height of the COVID-19 pandemic and provided support to teams in Chicago and LA managing mass vaccination sites.
Currently, as a member of the Senior Management Team, Ms. Goldstein provides leadership for the design, implementation, expansion and administration of the country program’s portfolio of projects, along with supervising the project team in their implementation of all activities.
