Marshall Community Health Consortium
Jo Ann Raines joined the Marshall University School of Medicine’s GME Office in 2013 where she served as the Special Projects/Grants Administrator/ Institutional Coordinator until her retirement last week. As part of her duties, Jo Ann worked to ensure Marshall and the Marshall Community Health Consortium and their programs were compliant with ACGME Institutional, Common Program, program specialty requirements. She also assited residents with research, grants, and IRB approval.
As the Consortium's author for three HRSA residency planning and developing grants, Jo Ann served as Grants Project Manager for each and will continue to do so on a part-time basis. Jo Ann also authored the Consortium’s new SI application in 2014, and new program applications for Holzer Family Medicine, Rural General Surgery, and Rural Psychiatry Residency Programs. The Consortium’ also has a Rural Internal Medicine new program application pending before the September 2024 RC meeting. Prior to GME, Ms. Raines was part of Marshall's UME Academic/Student Affairs Offices. Before Marshall, she served as the WV Higher Education Policy Commission Legislative Coordinator, and as a Ohio House of Representatives Legislative Aide.
Ms. Raines holds an MA Political Science from Ohio University and a BA in Political Science from WV State University.
