Dr. Raymonde Uy serves as the clinical informatics SME and lead of projects funded by CDC and others on health information technology policies, informatics, data standards, data quality, clinical decision support, clinical data workflow, and machine learning. Dr. Uy supports interoperability and QI initiatives between electronic health records, electronic quality measures, and value-based care through the curation of more than 150+ VSAC published value sets intended for health data extraction, segmentation, security, and analytics for reporting to public health agencies for syndromic surveillance.
Dr. Uy served as a physician-level clinical informatics consultant with academic and industry stakeholders in the United States, the Philippines, and the Asia-Pacific Region, and is an adjunct professor of Health Informatics and Health Information Management. Dr. Uy is an invited member of The Office of the National Coordinator for Health Information Technology’s (ONC) Health Information Technology Advisory Committee (HITAC).
Dr. Uy graduated with a dual MD/MBA degree and completed his postdoctoral fellowship in Biomedical Informatics at the U.S. National Institutes of Health and National Library of Medicine. Dr. Uy is a diplomate of the inaugural AMIA Certified Health Informatics Professional (ACHIP) class, where he is a commissioner for credentialing and certification of advanced clinical informatics professionals.
