The federal statute, enacted as Section 340B of the Public Health Act, that requires drug manufacturers to offer a discounted ceiling price on outpatient prescription drugs offers savings essential to reliable and sustainable funding for qualifying health centers. However, the 340B program faces ever-changing and increasing challenges from manufacturers, prescription benefit managers, and others. This session will provide attendees with an digestible update on the most recent legal, legislative, and federal/state challenges affecting health center participation in 340B and will provide attendees with actionable steps their health centers can take to optimize their 340B savings in a rapidly changing landscape.
