This presentation aims to propose a new at-risk financial model that is being explored by the mobile clinic industry. In this model the CHCs will partner with the mobile health industry to provide mobile health equipment and services without the traditional significant upfront investment on equipment and planning to increase access and reduce health inequities created by distance or transportation challenges. This session aims to position health centers as the provider of choice to advance health equity through tackling financial sustainability, operational, technical and clinical challenges, with emphasis on eliminating barriers in primary care delivery. The financial framework is proposed to leverage the power of mobile clinics converting high-effort zones for health services into low-effort zones. The focus is on areas where social determinants of health exert a significant impact and where mobile clinics could be successfully implemented as centers seek to expand. The implementations of such partnerships call for centers to prioritize service expansion and address reported challenges, even within financial constraints, and as a partner of choice to Local Health Departments and the communities they serve.
Learning Objectives:
Attendees will learn to cultivate robust collaboration among partners to establish Health Centers as viable financial allies in health service expansion.
Participants will acquire skills in applying a financial framework tailored to their respective centers' needs.
Attendees will learn a new financial method to position the Centers as partners of choice to harness the capabilities and resources of mobile healthcare to extend services into communities beyond the centers' reach.
